Slice of Life
A downloadable travel guide
A system-neutral-ish zine of six space-fantasy locations and light rules for space travel. Written for #WSCAJam.
Each location is a list of Factions with potential for competition & conflict, and a list of Impressions. These are situations, not plots.
Factions are written so that they can be encountered in any order, though some Impressions reference a particular Faction. Some Impression lists were written with a sense of escalation. Use your judgement about when to deviate from the listed order of Impressions. If you still want some randomisation, you can roll 1d3 and count down that number of unused entries, then cross off that entry as used.
You can use a location as a backdrop for other adventures you plan to run, in which case you probably don't have the time or inclination to introduce every faction. That's OK.
This is not a standalone game. WSCAOS or Lasers & Feelings would work well as the underlying ruleset, or Troika! if you want a more substantial ruleset.
There are print files for a more typical folded A4/Letter zine, or for cutting out and pasting onto 75mm by 125mm index cards (or 3 by 5 inch) or into a small moleskine.
